Ann is a regular runner and is a member of a running club and enjoys participating in many running events in the UK and abroad. She wanted to improve her half marathon time as she had signed up for the virtual Great North Run. She attended my Pilates classes regularly – at least twice per week during the period before the event and we focused on improving her core and hip strength, hip flexibility and strengthening her posterior oblique sling, which connect the gluteal muscles with the posterior shoulder capsule. I’m delighted to report that Ann shaved almost a minute off her personal best which she was extremely happy with! Her testimonial is below:
“As a regular runner I feel I’m really benefiting from Pilates sessions with Sandra. I’m participating in at least twice weekly classes & have gained flexibility in my hips. I’ve also noticed that stretching the glutes gives me a quicker recovery after a run. I’m sure this helped me gain a PB for a half marathon recently! I would recommend Sandra for her clear, precise method of teaching, as well as her patience.”
