Welcome to the Time Out Therapies blog page, where I will be sharing the latest evidence based health advice and news on a regular basis, providing you with a hub of expertise that you can reference at your leisure. I hope to draw on a diverse range of subjects – not just manual therapy related.
The past year has been a busy and exciting time for my clinic and for me professionally. As many of you are aware, in May 2017 I hope to move into my new clinic space, which comprises of a waiting area, customer bathroom and a larger treatment room. As a thank you for persevering with the disruption caused by the building and landscaping work I’m hoping to have an open event spanning a couple of days in early May. I’ll inform you of the exact dates nearer the time and sincerely hope you will be able to join me for coffee, cake and perhaps a glass of something bubbly in way of celebration!
Alongside, the building work I have also been writing a new website, which I believe represents services I offer and my business ethos that each treatment is an individual experience, tailored for you. Thank you to those of you that have provided me with testimonials – many of which I have published on the new site. They have been gratefully received.
Finally, perhaps the most exciting event of 2016 was my trip to the Low Back and Pelvic Pain Conference in Singapore. Professionally, this has deepened my knowledge of pain management, particularly how psychological aspects impact pain tolerance and how a combination manual therapy and exercise can help reduce pain and increase mobility. I’m sure I will be drawing on this experience in the future when writing my blogs.
I hope you enjoy my new site (www.timeouttherapies.co.uk) and reading my blogs.
