Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a relaxing therapy that aims to relieve stress by soothing tired, aching muscles in the head, back and neck. It may therefore help to promote wellbeing whilst aiding sleep and a feeling of balance and calm.
This therapy has evolved from traditional Indian head massage techniques and now concentrates on areas that are vulnerable to stress such as the upper back, arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and facial muscles. Some 'chakra' energy work may be included towards the end of the session.
Traditionally, oils are used to condition the hair, scalp and skin, but many clients in the West prefer to have a 'dry' treatment. The therapy can also be performed through light clothing, if preferred.
Indian Head Massage is not intended as a substitute for medical treatment or advice.
